Past Masters Forum, Education & Training Committee.

R.W. Peter J. Lawson was raised a Master Mason in Columbian Lodge in 2007, beginning a Masonic journey defined by leadership, service, and a deep commitment to the unity of the Craft.
He served as Master of Columbian Lodge from 2015 through 2017, and was appointed Grand Steward in 2018. That same year, he became a charter member of the Lodge of the Royal Secret, where he served as Master from 2018 through 2020 and again in 2024.
His service continued at the district and Grand Lodge levels. R.W. Bro. Lawson served as District Deputy Grand Master of the 1st Masonic District from 2021 through 2022 and has served on the Grand Lodge Board of Directors since 2023.
He currently contributes to the work of the Committee on Charters & Bylaws, the Protocol Committee, the Education & Training Committee, and the Strategic Planning Committee. Through these roles, he supports both the traditions of Massachusetts Freemasonry and its continued growth.
Alongside R.W. Gregory T. Fulton, R.W. Bro. Lawson developed the concept for the Past Masters Forum. He hopes the Forum increases awareness of the many opportunities available within the Fraternity and encourages Past Masters to take an active role in mentoring the Brethren who follow them.
For R.W. Bro. Lawson, mentorship, education, and service are the glue that binds a healthy Fraternity. His work is guided by a conviction that Freemasonry brings together men who might otherwise remain apart, and that every Brother shares a responsibility to strengthen the harmony of that unity.
Bro. Lawson’s service reflects a sustained dedication to brotherhood, thoughtful leadership, and the future of the Craft.
